Introduction
Our educational ethos is to maintain the long-term consistency of good teachers and students; therefore, every effort is made to keep students with their allocated tutors although this obviously cannot be guaranteed indefinitely. This is why we have introduced our ‘Meet the Tutor’ scheme to help to be as certain as possible that the potential pupil is allocated the best tutor for them.
Our team of specialist tutors are all qualified and fully DBS approved before being engaged by the Charity. Our tutors all work at reduced rates for the Charity so that NWMTC can operate competitively with similar organisations.
Lessons Beginners to Diploma
Weekly 1-2-1 lessons are recommended for all ages and tailored to meet the personal needs of the pupil. Our team of tutors are chosen for their expertise and friendliness. Optional lesson durations are: 20, 30, 45 and 60 mins.
Shared lessons for young siblings in the initial stages of learning may be arranged as a low-cost option for families.
Step 1 FREE Consultation
The Consultation enables the potential pupil to visit the Tuition Centre to have an informal chat with the tutor before making any firm decision to book lessons with the Charity. It is very important to us that the tutor and pupil connect well.
Step 2 The Trial Period
4 introductory lessons to make sure you are completely happy with your tuition and lesson arrangements.
Step 3 Membership
In order to use the facilities after the Trial a Quarterly Membership Subscription is required. This may be paid either in full or in 3 easy monthly instalments.
Flexi-Lessons (Adults Only)
Your work need not be a barrier to learning. These 10 flexible lesson appointments are for anyone who is a shift worker or who cannot commit to regular weekly lessons.
Exams & Concerts
All Exam Grades & Subjects are catered to using the most popular QCA approved Examining Boards including: LCM, Trinity, Rockschool, Trinity Rock & Pop, ABRSM etc.
Our Centre at Colwyn Bay is an approved PUBLIC EXAM CENTRE for the LCM, Trinity & Rockschool exams.
Our Wrexham and Buckley Centres are PUBLIC EXAM CENTRES for LCM.
NWMTC Concerts are intended to give valuable performance opportunities to our pupils regardless of age, from the initial stages of learning up to semi- professional. All subjects and genres are encouraged.
